HG,

I have been in contact with one of the cooler heads in town regarding the "New" information they are touting. Bottom line is they don't have any. The only thing they have is the final "Limited" report from Tighe & Bond dated November 2004. It says what you have heard in the past: Quote:

"These contaminants detected in the soil may present a risk to human health and the environment and therefore, a full risk assessment must be conducted...prior to development of these properties.."

Pretty clear to me that Tighe & Bond spelled it out for the selectmen prior to the purchase. They ignored it, tried to bury it and now are practicing damage control. Not a good start to a $7.5 million project.

I will forward a copy of the report to you via email soon (many pages to scan). That's the view from the trenches. Enjoy the blog, keep up the good work

If Medways recent vote is any barometer no one is getting anything. People will vote thier wallets.

Someone was finally paying attention! Congratulations.

Now everyone needs to make sure they show up Monday to vote.

The spin is on allready how the majority support the safety building and everyone was at other events instead. Unfortunately, you need 2/3 at the town meeting.

i am new to the blogs and need to thank Dale for his info on the t& b report on the contaminated land. i was appalled at the info meeting when dale got up and stated that the site MUST have further testing. the BOS blew him off. I t made me vote no. Thank you dale. keep up the info.

Thank you for the kind words and thank you for taking the time to go to the town meeting.

The BOS blew me off for over a year on that issue. What they failed to realize is that the voters will make the correct decision when they have the full story.

The real heroes are the folks who take the time to maintain the 2 blogs in Mendon that allow people free access for their ideas. The playing field is much more level now.
