Riff has contributed much to the discussion here over the past 8 months and is quite knowledgeable about current events in our town. We are going to keep to ourselves for a week or so and let Riff have the stage. We're not leaving in fact we have some great stuff to print but right now we are lawyering up for the next expose. HG you might want to look into the negotiations that the seclectman are having about buying the Gift Barn property. I don't want to identify myself or my source for fear of retribution, but don't we already have one property that we are dealing with?
Very much so. Why are they (I assume the BOS) negotiating on yet another property that poses a host of potential problems, when we haven't resolved any of the problems with the property currently owned. Another albatross around our necks? Another white elephant??? What gives???

Why would the town be interested in buying the property anyways?? What are the incentives/benfits, potential uses, etc?
