"Example, the most recent post on Eye on the Gray property makes the statement that the building comm brought the selectmen to the Morrison property " at least one of them kicking and screaming ". Of course they are refering to the BOS chair that eye has an obvious political agenda against. Do you want to know the real story? The drop dead date for the buyer to come up with the money for the Gray property was Aug 20. The building comm had scheduled a tentative meeting for the 21st in the hope that the buyer would fail to get the money and the town could jump in. However, the buyers realized they would not get the money and notified the Grays a little over a week before the Aug 20th drop dead date. The BOS chair got wind of all this and emailed the building comm with the new info. She further suggested that the building comm post a meeting as soon as was legally possible for the purpose of touring the property and voting on a recomendation to the BOS for them to act upon which they did. To say that anybody on the BOS had to be dragged kicking and screaming is a gross misrepresentation of the facts and a blatant example of someone pursuing their political agenda at the expense of the truth." If the above is true then how do you explain the following. These are from the minutes of the Public Safety Building Committee meeting on JUNE 19, 2006:
"J. Cronin states there is a new development that M. Ammendolia and J. Reed are exploring, and G. Smith presented property at 8 Morrison Drive to the committee.
Looking at plans, J. Cronin states that the Fire Department could move in tomorrow.
J. Reed asks if we bring the Morrison Drive property to the town, will we get a reprieve from the DOS? L. Tinio states yes.
N. Bradley would like the architect to look at this property. S. Cutler wants to wait and consider this property after the survey results are compiled.
J. Cronin states the committee is not leaving without a decision. The BOS needs to pursue this alternative.
S. Cutler states she will not put this on the agenda at a Selectmen’s meeting till the survey results are in. If G. Carell wants to look at it great, at no extra cost. "
The Committee wanted to look at the Morrisson propertya full 2 months before Augest 20 and Cutler said no way. Why you ask? The fact that her good buddy Judy Lionelli was the broker that had a potential buyer may have had something to do with it. Sharon didn't want to cut her friend out of a six-figure comission. Note to self: Do you get a finders fee for NOT bringing in a buyer? Only after Leonelli’s client fell through did Sharon become interested in the Morrison land. Coincidental timing? You make the call.
Yes we do attack sometimes but they usually have it coming. Judy Lionelli and Sharon Cutler are two peas in a pod. They are in it for themselves. You go girls.

The more you say the deeper the hole you are digging for yourself. First of all, your comments on the previous story was about the latest exploration of the Gray property. That would be August not June. But lets talk about June. What you failed to mention was that a walk through was scheduled for the Gray property in June for the Comm and the BOS. So that option was being explored at that time. A couple of days before that walk through the other buyer signed the P & s with the Grays and the Bldg Comm cancled the walk through. But your latest story had to do with the recent developements regarding the Gray property. On this Tao and the other posters have it right. The first email contact to the building Comm letting them know the building was back on the market was from Sharon Cutler. There is no dispute of this fact. No one was brought kicking and screaming back to this option and no one was pulling an end run around the BOS with the information. The BOS was all over this when the building became available again and they still are. Your comments in the Hats off article regarding the BOS role or lack off in the latest developements are a complete fabrication. The Tao post does a good job laying this all out and the conclusions are inescapable. Other posters have verified this. By the way, anyone that thinks that was written by a drunk selectman must be smoking something themselves.
If Sharon Cutler and Judy Leonelli are two peas in a pod it must be a damn strange pod. Looking back at recent history I can't think of any issue that they agreed on other than the library. Leonelli was opposed to the Chief/Chief position and Cutler hasn't supported the school overides. Who comes up with this crap? Dale Pleau will never get over Sharon beating him and that Leonelli supported her candidacy, THEN.
Look I am on the building committee so I damn well know how this all went down. I have no intention giving my name because no one else on these things does so why should I. On june 15th a realtor contacted our BOS to tell them about the Gray property. Sharon and the realtor exchange emails about the details of the property and our chair is copied on those emails. On june 19th the rest of the Building comm. receives an email letting us know what was going on for the meeting that night. We had the meeting. The only action item was to ask "G.Carell to provide a price for preliminary study of Morrison Dr. property" What the BOS wanted to do with their adgenda had nothing to do with looking into this option. We were all in agreement that we should look into the option. As somebody above said we then scheduled a walk thru for a couple of weeks later which never happened since the property went off the market. There was only 2 or 3 weeks between the time we found out about it and when it went off the market. We kept an eye on it hoping we would get lucky. The account of this Tao person is pretty much on the money in regard to the building committe part. We were going to meet on Aug 21st. On Aug 11th Sharon sent an email to our chair letting him know that the property was on the market again and wanted a walk thru real quick. Our chair sent the information to us and a walk thru and meeting was set up for the following week. The rest of this is stupid. There was no kicking and screaming or end runs around the BOS. They are fully on board with this. That is the way it is. Be thankfull that old men still can get lucky once in a while.
Your all very emphatic about this but why do the meeting minutes state that Sharon Cutler would have none of it on June 19th? Waiting for her survey, Really! That would be just about enough time for Judy to bring in her buyer. Doesn’t sound like she was "onboard" then. Lawney Tinio was on board but the Chair said NO WAY.
Remember that the property was NOT under agreement on June 19th. Why didn't Sharon think is was a great idea then? What has changed? Other than Leonelli was cut out of the deal in favor of the town. So where is Cutlers allegiance?
Yes, we realize that everyone is on the same page now and that is a good thing. The problem we have is that it took a quirk of fate to get Cutler on board. That quirk was the removal of her buddy Judy from the picture. We believe her oath was to the town not her friends.

The question here and the point of the Tao post is if we were given misinformation by you. Since there has only been one tour of the Morrison property and that was done the week you wrote "They brought the selectmen(at least one of them kicking and screaming)to the Morrison drive industrial park" that is the tour you are writing about. Now you admit that this was not true when you said "Yes, we realize that everyone is on the same page now" so no one was brought kicking and screaming. Guilty as charged. You said on the 17th "Garys insight and savvy move of contacting the Building Comm directly saved the day while the BOS was floundering with the Fino property" Lucky tells us that not only were they not floundering or trying to put lipstick on the Fino pig, the selectmen were the ones that contacted the Bldg Comm and let them know the Gray property was back on the market over a week early. They were even pushing to schedule that tour "Real quick" Guilty as charged again. So far everything in the Tao post( that you put up on this blog) has been proven correct by you or another poster except the last line dealing with the motivation for you making up this story. This is about if you gave us misinformation which you did. It is not about some unprovable conspieracy theory you have concocted to divert attention away from your mistakes. The facts speak for themselves and they are real specific.
Oh Gardens, wrong again, and again and again. Anyone who takes your comments for the truth must still be listening to Ed Thompson.
It wasn't long ago when everyone was poo-pooing bloggers who were stating their were better sites then Fino.
Of course there were better sites than Fino. They just were not available at the time.
What does that have to do with HG making up part of that story anyway.
Aren't Gary Smith and Judy Leonelli real estate agents? It seems they were both just doing their jobs. Selling property. The fact that they were doing their jobs makes them neither hero or villan. HG maybe you should lighten up. You appear to be stirring up just to keep the attention on you. I am going back to Riff Raff. Higher quality talk.

You miss the point. The point is that Judy and Sharon were sharing inside information about the Gray property. We have no problem with real estate brokers working for their clients. We do have a problem with the Chairman of the BOS taking sides, at taxpayer expense.
We wish we could lighten up and tell you about some of the great things that are happening in our town like the Counsel on Ageing. They do great work. Unfortunately we still have to fight the war of “old school vs. new school” until all the old dinosaurs have met the meteorite.
Riff has a good blog but her axe is Public Safety and our is general government. Choose your poison.
HG
The point is Judy and Sharon were
sharing inside information about the Gray property? You have provided no proof of that. Nothing . No documentation and no hard evidence. Nothing but suposition. Once again the issue here is you fabricating part of a story. On that the facts are strong.
I thought Riff Raff was a guy.
Lets play HG's little game. If you check out the entire minutes of that June 19 bldg comm meeting you will find that there was no vote taken by the bldg comm recommending any action by selectmen in regard to the Gray property. Why? We already know that. They had not yet taken the walk thru of the building. The archetect had not yet even seen the building let alone give the building comm any idea of what it would cost to convert it for the FD. There was no information to vote on. So what was there to put on the agenda for the next selectmans meeting? Were they supposed to talk about how nice it would be if that building turned out to be good for the FD? If the other two board members thought that this should be on the agenda they could have put it on with a vote at the beginning of the meeting. They did not. Why? There was nothing to talk about or take any action on. By the time the next bldg comm meeting was held the gray building was already under a purchase and sale.
Now lets turn the tables. HG says that the Tao post was wrong but we already know that all the facts are right and only the conclusion is in question. OK so if HG did not fabricate the story about the selectmens role in the Gray property as part of a political agenda than as Tao concludes than what was the reason HG made up this story?
We are loving this thread... the more you write, the less we have to say...
"Methinks thou doth protest too much"
Thank You
HG
Man that was lame. Looks like HG is waving the white flag.
Tinio, Cronin, Reed, Amendelia simply wanted to write an offer contingent upon a satisfactory walk thru and anything else that was a concern. That would have bought the time needed. SC refused to hear it.
That maybe was what they were thinking but there is not a word about doing that in the June19th minutes.
If you want to say that SC was beeing stubborn the first time around I have no problem with that.
If that was the case it is more likley it was because she could not let go of her pretty joint building. But saying it was so an agent could get a six figure commission, actually so 2 agents could each get a five figure commission, is a heck of of leap. And if our other two selectmen wanted to go into negotiations for that building they still could have. However none of this justifies a blogger knowingly posting misinformation on this blog. That is a seperate issue.
Next HG will say that SC killed Jon Benet. Is there nothing he won't stop at to keep getting attention. If I didn't know you were Dale I would begin to think you are Dennis. :)
Last I knew dennis doesn't use a computer.
HG is way too literate to be Dennis.
Hg isn't ascared.
Someone here sounds "ascared" and way too paranoid! Tahe the thread for what it is. A simple observation that SC failed to pursue options for the town until Leonelli's buyer fell through, even though the committee recommended moving forward with preliminary plans IN CASE THE BUYER FELL THROUGH. As for the other two members of the board, until very recently they have been hesitant to assert themselves and oppose the chair, accounting for why they did not push this during the June meeting.
As for the author of this blog, you are way off base. It simply suits your purpose to insinuate that the author is Pleau or Shaheen. You should be looking to other sources, perhaps those disillusioned by promises not kept.
There was no recomendation by the board "in case the buyer fell through". This thread is about misinformation given by this blog and if it was politically motivated. That there is no one disputing these things does not change this.
Guess what? Leonelli's buyer didn't even make an offer. Where do you guys get this stuff. I have heard that it was Gary's buyer who made the original offer. You aren't taking anything you read here seriously are you?
Isn't that a hoot. Somehow I am not surprised.
order of events:
Put 8 Morrison Dr. (Gray's) on Market.
3 potential buyers were considering it one of which was Judys.
I presented it to PSB committee.(see minutes)
Shortly thereafter JB Excavating called for the first time making them the 4th potential Buyer.
2 days later while Judy was showing it for the 3rd time to her same buyers JB came in and wrote up a full price offer.
Upon notification of it being off the market PSB committee canceled previously scheduled site visit.
Upon Notification of it being off the Market Judy was dissapointed (understandably) but I had warned her that another offer was forthcoming it just didn't come from the anticipated party.
I had confirmed with Country Wide Mortgage that the loan was realistic but was still suspicious due to the small down payment.
I told Lawney and others on PSB that the deal was shaky.
JB was a forthright in telling Gray s and myself that the financing was just not going to happen. He was visibly dissapointed.
I asked Mr. Gray if he wanted to put it back on the market or deal with the town. He said to deal with the town.
Judy reads in paper town is interested, emails her displeasure with me whereupon I explain that I have nothing signed yet and she still had time to produce an offer.
She didn't.
We aren't speaking.
PSB meets at site votes to proceed and 6 days later I have a fully signed offer.
I do not know if there is a relationship between Judy and Sharon or care.
There are plenty of Buyers for the property.
I wish it were a 6 figure commission!
Gary. Thank you for the info and for having the courage to put it here with your name attached. Thank you Tao for exposing this story in the first place.
