China is a country that will soon be one of the most powerful in the world.
Think about this the next time you read the label, "Made in China"

those buses are on sale at Wal-Mart.
OK, so your against the death penalty. Not me I am for it, you can't be the ethical and moral police for the world. Get used to it.
Is it a comment on the death penalty, or a comment on the fact that China, in a human rights sense, is still in the dark ages? Should we (the world, the big players, whatever you want to call it, but not just the US) be giving China the benefit of the Olympics, the benefit of aid, or the benefit of our market while they still practice this?
Although a global economy is ideal, the reality is that some countries, such as the US, have philosophies which simply cost more (like just trials, evidence gathering rules and opportunities to appeal decisions) and this cost puts us at an immediate disadvantage on the supposedly level playing field of global economies.
I know that sounds very broad, but I interpreted this post much differently than being about the death penalty.
