It's been over seven months since we communicated. Apologies for the absence, but there is more to life than blogging about Mendon although that is very dear to my heart. Thanks to the 40 or so people who have checked in every week to see if the blog was active.

The situation at the Clough School appears to be working itself out. It's unfortunate that the contamination found it's way into the well. This is a wake-up call for all well owners (Nearly everybody) in Mendon. Test regularly, all that water in on the move all the time.
Kevin is addressing the issue of historical buildings with a cool head on his blog. The Preservation Religion is bowing at the Alter of Unreasonableness as they usually do. I don’t understand why they are always reacting. In my mind a proactive approach would produce positive results. Instead what we get is bitching and legal obstructions after the fact. They looked like fools out there yesterday protesting. Where were they a year ago?
My first topic on this reincarnated blog will probably address the looming problem of a steep reduction in tax income for the town and what will we have to cut to make it work. There appears to be a world of hurt on the horizon for town government.
